The Annual Arabian Computer News Arab Technology Awards were presented last night in recognition of the outstanding work carried out in the Middle East enterprise market over the past 12 months.
The awards honoured the world-class projects and implementations, leading vendor contributions, and outstanding individual efforts.
This year's awards were presented at a glittering gala dinner at Dubai's Armani Hotel, held last night in parallel with GITEX Technology Week.
More than 300 leading technology professionals attended the ceremony.
This year's Awards had multiple categories, including a lifetime achievement award, project awards that recognised successful deployments carried out by end users from a number of verticals, the leading vendors in a variety of enterprise segments, and the CIO and IT department at the top of their profession.
Among the top awards, Lamya Altabtebai, Kuwait International Bank was selected as CIO of the Year, while Ian McKenzie, Emirates College for Advanced Education, received an Outstanding Contribution Award.
